David & Yvonnca Landes have been in the real estate business individually for 15 years. As a couple, they have worked together for the last 12 years.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, David moved to Knoxville as an adolescent in the mid eighties, graduated from Farragut High School and went on to study marketing at the University of Tennessee. Immediately following college, he began his career as an appraiser. This start led to forays in all different aspects of the real estate industry.
Yvonnca, conversely, was born and raised in the town of Harriman, TN, a small, close knit community about 25 miles west of Knoxville. Her love of all things real estate began with her career as a mortgage broker in 1997.
Since their beginnings in the industry, both David and Yvonnca have continued to expand their business interests to include all aspects of real estate. Both are appraisers, mortgage brokers, and Realtors. They are the proprietors of First Equity Mortgage Group, LLC and The Appraisal Firm, LLC. Their affiliate broker’s licenses are hung with Realty Executives Associates. Through their businesses and affiliations, they currently work & specialize in several fields of the real estate industry. Both ply their trades - not only as Realtors, appraisers, and mortgage brokers, but also as real estate consultants and investors as well.
Recently, Yvonnca has ventured into the arena of home staging, answering a demand from many of her clients and fulfilling her passion for design. This has led to the creation of their newest company, Landes Staging & Home Design. Under this umbrella, a team of professionals is available for the simplest of design projects and consultations (from re-decorating to remodeling), to large scale home staging, geared towards helping sellers portray their homes in the best possible light, to maximize sales prices and minimize marketing times.
Kristen Deaton
Kristen was born and raised in East Tennessee. She graduated from Lenoir City High School in 2005 and went on to study Psychology at The University of Tennessee. After graduating UT in 2009, she began working in the real estate industry as executive assistant to an appraiser. She soon developed a love for all aspects of the real estate industry, and she recently obtained her realtor license.
Kristen is currently with Realty Executive Associates working as part of The Landes Team. She is a licensed realtor and executive assistant for The Landes Team. She also continues to work at The Appraisal Firm, LLC. Kristen lives and works in West Knoxville.
Keith Russell
Originally from Iowa, where he studied Liberal Arts at Iowa State University, Keith moved to West Knoxville in 2004. In 2005, Keith joined The Appraisal Firm, LLC and The Landes Team/Realty Executives. Since then, he has pursued a background in Real Estate Appraisal, as well as handles marketing, branding, graphic design and information technology for The Landes Team. In his spare time, Keith is a music instructor to local youth.
I would like to extend my highest recommendation for Yvonnca Landes, not only as a realtor, but as a beautiful person. I had hit a wall in my search for a new home and could not seem to get my previous two realtors to understand my situation, needs, and requirements. I admit to needing a lot of hand holding and nurturing through the home buying process, but who doesn't. When we started out on our search for a home, we knew very little of how the process worked. We didn't realize that choosing the right real estate agent is just as important as choosing the right home. So, doing what any inexperienced home-buyer would do, we chose the first agent we saw on a popular real estate search engine.
This could have gone very badly for us, as there are agents out there that do not put the best interests of their client first and fore-most. Someone must have been looking out for us, because we found a truly great agent and friend in Yvonnca.
She was there for us every step of the way, through the home search, inspections, loan and title dealings, etc. Time and again she proved that she was on our side and no one elses - making sure we got the best deals even when it didn't benefit her. Unlike some agents, not once did she push us towards a home that was above our budget or even push us towards our agreed upon "top budget" during the home search. More than once she steered us away from a more expensive home because she foresaw too many problems with it. Now, we are about to move into a wonderful home that we can raise our son in.
